We have painted with apples and rolled a pumpkin in paint. Today the students wanted to explore painting with feathers. Look at how the lines are thick and thin, noted Brianna.
At the doll house, there was a conversation taking place about all the rooms in the dollhouse. As I listened I heard the girls then begin to compare their homes to the dollhouse and note similarities and differences.
The puzzle area is always a busy area. Here the two boys eventually started working together to solve the puzzles.
At the dramatic play area, the conversation was all about a restaurant. After being greeted with a welcome to our restaurant, the conversation began as to what we would need if we were going to set up a restaurant in our class. They were brainstorming all the things that they remember seeing in restaurants that they've been in. This is a work in progress.
At the computer area and the quiet area, the students were learning to find programs and apps on their own. They were learning the functions of the keyboard and mouse and how to use the technology on their own.
Finishing up our last two colours. These students were on a hunt for thing that were white and brown.
We made play doh last week and its still a big hit in the classroom. The problem was it was sticking in the mold and how were they going to get it out. After washing it, they found that it worked better.
Lots of measuring happening at the sand table today. I wonder how many scoops of sand it would take to fill the red container?, was the questions asked. There were estimations being given and counts being made. We never did find out for sure as they said they lost count. We'll have to try again another day.
