Reading Buddies

Every Friday our reading buddies from Grade seven come to visit us. Today our focus was to listen to the story and explain their favourite part. They then worked together to draw a picture of that part. The students always look forward to their reading buddies coming down.

Our Nature Walk and Outdoor Play

It was such a beautiful day that we went for a walk to looks for signs of Fall. We were able to see all the different colours that the leaves are changing and hear the sounds as we walked over the leaves on the ground. We noticed that some trees were still green and Noah explained that they were evergreen trees, like Christmas trees and that they have needles, not leaves. They always stay green he said. The squirrels were busy running around collecting nuts so they could hide them for the Winter. Once we got back to school, we enjoyed some outdoor play.

The Big Crunch

Today we had special guests visit from the Windsor Express Basketball Team. They were part of the big crunch, we all ate an apple at the same time. They helped to spread the message about healthy eating. we really enjoyed this school assembly and the apples too.
