A Journey through Tanzania
Miss H (the student teacher in our classroom) shared this story with the class. She will be travelling to Tanzania in April with a group of students from the University. The class was very interested in the story, the animals and how it is different than where we live. They also were wondering about the language they spoke. Miss H taught them to count to ten in Swahili. To follow up on their questions, she shared a video that others groups that have visited there took. They were then able to compare what looked the same as Windsor and what looked different. They noticed that the boys and girls like to play games, just like us and then they noticed that they washed their clothes in a bucket but we use a washing machine. The students then placed their handprints on this picture that Miss H is taking to Tanzania with her. We can't wait until she comes back and shares her adventure with us.
