Fall Fun

Our trip to Ojibway Nature Centre provided many opportunities to see the signs of Fall.
We identified many leaves that we found just as we
had been in class as students brought them in.

There were wild mushrooms everywhere.

The fox snake that we got to hold.

Way out there on a log were four turtles.
The dramatic play centre was very popular in October.

Our pumpkin inquiry went on for days. The students were so interested to
investigate what was in the pumpkin, compare weights and measure the height.
We cleaned and carved two large pumpkins for Halloween and then roasted the
pumpkin seeds. Everyone sampled our cooked seeds with most of the students
asking for more.
