Hair Heads

We have been reading the story Hair Heads in the class. In the book, they list the steps that are taken to plant the grass. The students remembered the steps and planted their own today. We now patiently wait to see the sprouts.

Light it up blue for Autism

Today we had a great visit from The Autism Society to help bring awareness to the students. They saw an awesome video about a young girl who introduced us to her brother who has autism. After the students asked some great questions which were all answered. A great learning experience for all.

The Three Little Pigs

Thank you to the grade ones in Ms Kielts class for coming and sharing their fingerplays with us. They worked so hard memorizing their lines and practicing over and over again. They did an awesome job. We now have seen the play, watched a short movie and read the book, the Three Little Pigs. The students are spending time reselling the story.

Special thank you to our parent council for the delicious snack this morning. The students loved them.

It's the 100th Day of School

Today the two Kindergarten classes celebrated the 100th day of school this morning. They were divided into five groups and traveled to five different centres. They decorated their 100 day glasses, did 100 exercises, built with 100 blocks, heard some 100 day stories and made a pizza with 100 items on it ( too bad it was felt). A fun day was had by all!

McDonalds

Our dramatic play area has been transformed into a McDonalds. From writing the menu to running the restaurant, learning is everywhere. Math, language, writing, social skills, and fun!
