Lip Sync Performances by our Reading Buddies
The grade seven class has been working on these performances in class and today we were lucky enough to be the audience for the show. Way to go grade sevens. You obviously practiced and worked hard. Thank you for performing for us!
The Balance Beam
We have made the blocks into a balance beam just like the gymnastic people use. It is hard to walk on the line without falling off. I wonder how they do it when it is high off the ground? One student asked. We will look at some videos to try and answer that question.

The Haunted House
The haunted house is made of ghost, but not real ghosts, cause real ghosts doen't exist. There are video cameras to see if anybody is coming. The cameras are inside the house to see if there's anyone in there. There are five doors in the house, so there are lots of spots for people to get in. We are trying to figure out how to secure all the spots in the house.

Snow Fun
From catching snowflakes to making snow angels, there was a lot happening at recess. Please make sure that your child has their snow pants, warm coat, boots , hat and mittens/gloves each day so they are ready for outdoor play. If you could label their clothes with initials, it would greatly help with making sure they have all of their own things. Thank you in advance.

Hockey
We've been talking about winter sports and reading stories about them. They are really interested in hockey so Miss Beleutz brought in her equipment to show us what she wears when she plays hockey each week. We made a chart predicting what would be in her hockey bag(green writing) and we added the other things in red. Thank you Miss. Beleutz for sharing with us.
Math Question of the Day
The students have been answering a math problem each day. They use pictures, numbers and words to solve the problem. The students are now starting to make up the problem for their classmates to solve.
The fox
Noah was building a fox. He used the brown part for the collar so that he won't run away. A fox has four legs and their fur is red he noted. I couldn't make it red because we didn't have any red blocks. I'd like to learn more about the fox, he said, so off we went to do some research.
